Mike Lee
Managing Partner

As a Managing Partner of FireOneCXO Partners, Mike brings over 25 years of experience in the enterprise software and communications industries, both as an executive in multi-billion dollar corporations and as a leader of early to mid-stage companies. He has played integral roles on executive teams that successfully completed and integrated more than $1.5 billion in acquisitions, as well as carrying out initial and secondary public offerings.

Mike held a number of senior positions with SBC Communications (now AT&T), including President of Cellular One (now AT&T Wireless) in Boston, achieving over 60% annual revenue growth; and SVP of Sales for MobileComm, Inc. where he led an organization of 1,400+, was responsible for over $600 million in annual revenue and delivered 35% annual growth, almost double the industry average. Mike also led AT&T’s National Accounts & Federal Government sales organization for all of the company’s subsidiaries.

Before joining AT&T, Mike founded a company that was one of the nation’s first to commercially deploy a cloud-based software solution that automated credit card and check authorization services. He sold the company to an international funds-transfer company.

Mike later joined SK USA as its Chief Operating Officer. SK USA is the U.S. headquarters of the SK Group, the third largest conglomerate in South Korea. Mike’s responsibilities included identifying, funding and actively overseeing the operations and growth of investments and partnerships in technology and communications-related businesses and providing sales and operating expertise to management teams for revenue growth and M&A initiatives.

More recently, Mike founded AirVersent, Inc. by acquiring and combining a US-based company with a UK-based company. He then merged AirVersent with Airclic, Inc. creating the leading provider of next generation cloud-based, mobile supply chain software focused on ‘last mile’ automation and optimization for businesses with complex distribution and logistics operations. The company achieved an organic 34% CAGR while delivering positive EBITDA every quarter for over four years.

After selling Airclic in 2014, Mike was brought into Decision Lens, a complex decision support cloud-based software company, as CRO. Mike created sales channels focused on: Enterprise sales, Federal Government, and State & Local Government. This enabled Decision Lens to double its annual bookings and become a key SaaS software provider to customers such as Boeing, FedEx, SunTrust Bank, Sprint, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and the State of Texas Department of Transportation.
